When choosing to have your wedding at the Inn at West Settlement, you are selecting a venue where the staff goes above and beyond and the amenities are second to none. Our barn is much more than a remnant from the region’s robust agricultural heyday. The barn has been carefully updated to retain its innate charm while creating a space we like to call “elegantly rustic.” Even the furniture — including the fabulous bar and tables — is all handcrafted locally and contributes to the warm, relaxed atmosphere.

The Inn at West Settlement offers a host of unique elements to make your Catskill Mountain barn wedding a truly special occasion. When visitors arrive at the property, it’s immediately apparent that this is an exceptional place. The property is ideally situated “off the beaten path” and magnificent views of the Catskill Mountains stretch endlessly, enveloping guests with a feeling of true serenity. Our guests come to relax, celebrate, and create memories that last a lifetime.

For their wedding day, couples choose to have their ceremony in a variety of places from the farmhouse lawn overlooking the pond, flower gardens and mountains to the east, to a hilltop meadow surrounded by wildflowers with forever southern views of the high peaks of the Catksills or in the grenn meadow beside the cutting gardens with rolling Catskill Mountains views as a dramatic backdrop, or under the shade of a weeping willow tree by the pond.

When it’s time for the celebration to begin, cocktails are served from an outdoor bar in a courtyard adjacent to the barn. String lights cast a warming glow to enhance the festivities. Afterwards, guests adjourn to the barn with it’s soaring ceilings where meals have been expertly prepared with exacting attention pleasing to the eye and the palette.

The spacious barn easily accommodates up to 185 wedding guests and with an added heating system, makes it possible to host special events spring through fall.

Our barn is just one element of your wedding at the Inn at West Settlement. The historic farmhouse, just a stone’s throw from the barn, becomes home to you and your loved ones as you create together a memorable weekend-long experience.

Couples choose to start their celebration with a welcome dinner that includes a cocktail reception and our fabulous taco buffet — with many of the ingredients fresh off the vine of our nearby organic vegetable garden. Guests are welcome to stroll freely on the 64-acre property and are sure to enjoy the perennial gardens and cutting gardens that dot the property.

Guests are invited to stroll among the acres of cutting gardens and ponds and in the evening enjoy time around the bonfire with family and friends.

The couple and their families spend the weekend in the six-bedroom farmhouse with sauna, Jacuzzi, eat in kitchen, large living room and rocking chair porch
For your ceremony: a beautiful hilltop meadow, with 360 degrees of panoramic views, under the shade of an old willow tree by the pond, in the garden meadow surrounded by bluestone walls under the shade of majestic maple trees or on the front lawn of the farmhouse overlooking the pond, gardens and mountains.
For your reception we have our awesome, historic 2 story dairy barn with its soaring ceilings, perfect for bands and dancing. The gambrel roof style lends itself to wide open spaces so there are not any posts to get in the way of design or dancing. It is 40’ x 100’
Our preferred caterer will create a custom menu with you. Our caterer makes every effort to support our community and local farmers — whenever possible purchasing meats and vegetables that have been grown and raised in the Catskill Region.
Your event is hosted in complete privacy. When it’s time for music and dancing, your party can continue to it’s natural conclusion.
Our property consists of 64 acres, allowing us to provide ample on-site parking to accommodate all your guests.
